6 Nov – Outdoor flying during the current lockdown

By | November 6, 2020

BMFA have clarified their earlier advice.  Model flying outdoors counts as “recreation” and is permitted.  The BMFA insurance will remain valid.  Obviously you can only be with one other person etc.

However, flying as a club on club fields is not permitted and the BMFA have advised members not to fly in pairs on club fields and to be careful not to give the impression that we are flouting any rules.

The committee has decided that to avoid any potential loss of our flying site at Girton, there should be no model flying at all at Girton till the current lockdown ends.
