This coming weekend was to have been the BMFA East Anglian Area free flight gala. However this has been kicked into touch by the virus. We have the Scunthorpe airfield available so it will be come and fly if you wish to enjoy the space. A notice will be placed on the gate please ring for the access code.
Covid 19 Corona Virus – Sculthorpe
The guidelines below have been incorporated within the risk analysis for our continued use of Sculthorpe airfield.
| Item 1 Government guidelines as promulgated to be followed. |
| Item 2 Social distancing to ensure the minimum 2 metre (and preferably greater) separation from other people (unless from the same household) is always maintained (including carparking and the setting up of equipment). |
| Item 3 Attendees to bring their own personal sanitiser and gloves. |
| Item 4 Latex/Nitrile/Vinyl gloves to be worn or hand sanitiser used immediately before and immediately after opening/unlocking and closing/locking access gates and padlocks. |
| Item 5 If handling other people’s models, gloves are to be worn. |
| Item 6 No sharing of model flying equipment, aircraft or personal items. |
| Item 7 The organiser to provide additional sanitiser and gloves. |
| Item 8 The organiser to ensure that the requirements are adhered to. |
On arrival you will be required to sign the contact schedule.
We have the use of the airfield for general flying activity only. There is no officially organised event or competition. This structure complies with current government requirements and MUST be observed by all in attendance.
