15/11 – Annual report published today

By | November 15, 2023

The following e-mail was sent to all members today

Attached is the Annual Report for 2023 which is also on our website.  It’s quite a hefty tome, but it will save us boring you to death at the AGM and also provides a good historical record for the club.

I have had about 10 responses to the AGM agenda which were all very supportive of the club.  3 items were raised for possible AOB which the members may raise at the AGM –

  1. The ongoing search for a new flying site – this is now covered as the last para of the secretarys report.
  2. Possible additional RTP sessions if members have RTP models – obviously there is a cost to hiring the gym specially for this, but could we have an RTP session at one end of the sports hall during a 4 hour FF Saturday which would not cost anything extra?
  3. Whilst there is a very good FF turnout on indoor Saturdays, the outdoor FF attendance on Friday evenings in the summer was very low – this is also reflected in the secretarys report.

If any members want to join the committee as “minister without portfolio” to shape the future direction of the club please let me know.  You will see from the report that we are very pleased to welcome George Adam as our new treasurer and Daniel Kenyon-Jones to a new post as drone rep.  Thanks chaps – and also to our outgoing treasurer Paul Burling and CL rep Steve Mynott.

Regards
