BMFA East Anglian Free Flight Gala.
For the last ten years the Area has hosted a two-day event for BMFA free flight classes. Unfortunately, the East Anglian Gala, which has been gaining in popularity and support, could not take place in 2020 as a consequence of the Corona virus outbreak. The good news now is that with Virus conditions lessening, this year it will take place.
The Gala will be held on the 31 July and the 1 August 2021. Free flight contests will take place on both days. There are likely to be some free flight scale models plus the Bowden Competition on the Sunday. The Bowden competition that is usually held at the BMFA Nationals each May because of the pandemic restrictions has transferred to Sculthorpe.
Detailed information on the contests are posted separately on the BMFA website, fun flyers are welcomed. Remember that there is livestock and thus dogs are not allowed, and model retrieval must be by cycle and not by car.
The site entrance is at the junction of the A148 Kings Lynn to Fakenham road with the B1454 and travel northwards for 200 metres and the gate way will be on your right. The gate will be manned so have your BMFA card ready.
