We have just discovered that there is a second locked gate at Girton which is a metal gate as you actually enter the field from the track. This is in addition to the wooden gate at the entrance to the track by the council offices.
In general only one will be locked so there is no extra hassle. I have updated the bit about Girton on the “Flying Sites” page to show the 2 combinations for the 2 gates Flying Sites.

Access by car through the locked gate and then follow the yellow route to the flying field. The wooden gate code is 4722 – leave the gate open or locked “as you find it” when you arrive. There is now also a metal gate as you actually enter the 10 Acre field – the combination for this is 1212 and again leave the gate open or locked “as you find it”. Usually the gates will be open or only one will actually be locked.
