The sun looks like it may make an appearance along with the wind, but hardy flyers will be out on the field tomorrow. We have booked the field from 6pm every Friday this summer.
As it’s half term I went along today to check things out. Our main way in is via Park Drive and to the car park at the end. If the new gates are shut due to half term, you can turn right and park on the field. This video shows the route Entrance on Park Drive for Friday evening flying (youtube.com)
We will also be using the new “standard” field layout so that drone and quad flying is separated from other flying. Quad pilots will have our new gates and flags to crash into!! See the layout below which is also repeated on each calendar entry on the website.
Outdoor layoutAnd if you want to see some great scale “round the pole” models in action our RTP friends will be flying in the sports hall from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday 13th and are very happy for members to go along to watch.
