Outdoor Model Flying @ IVC Sports Field
Jul 24 @ 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm

This is our special Friday evening session where Free Flight, Control Line and Radio flying all co-exist on the same field where we have been flying since 1946.  The field is booked from 6pm till after dark.

Priority is given to free flight and control line, with slow quiet RC models allowed.

The field layout is shown below.  Please would all pilots (especially RC) follow the outdoor flying guidance on the Club Documents page on our website or click here.

FPV Pilots – use the pegboard to reserve your video frequency – see copy of pegboard here

Control Line flying rules are on the club documents page or click here.

If you are not sure about suitable RC models, please ask.  This is a tricky field for RC with tall magnetic trees all round the field that cause turbulence even in relatively light winds!!  For a video of the field click here

We normally park in the car park, but you can park on the field if required – enter by turning right after the houses on Park Drive.  Do not drive on any marked pitches or we will get banned!!  The gate may be locked – the code is 8104.  You can leave the gate open, but lock the padlock back to the gate and scramble the code to avoid the lock going missing!!  Last one out to lock the gate if it was locked when we arrive.  A map showing access for cars is here.
