As you know we celebrate the clubs 80th birthday this year and we have 3 special events planned plus an expanded show at the Girton fete. The latest updated details of each event are on the website calendar with links below.
We have received £300 from the BMFA plus a budget of £300 from club funds which will go towards hiring the hall and providing the BBQ at the Birthday Bash. We will be inviting like minded flyers from local clubs to come along and the events will be free for everyone. We will put some limits on RC flyers from other clubs or we might get swamped.
The events will be largely self organising and the competitions and record attempts are just for fun, but if anyone wants to volunteer in any capacity, just let us know. The details are not “set in stone” but unless there are any further suggestions, the 3 special events will follow the outlines shown below. We hope that the Birthday Bash will also be one of the bigger Control Line fly ins of the year.
Several other members suggestions are being developed and the first to come to fruition will be a mass indoor flying record attempt in St Andrews Church, Histon – details will follow!
