The committee have decided to cancel the proposed Public Open Days this year. The decision was for the following reasons –
- We agreed that there is no need to go to all the effort to publicise the club or raise funds as in the past.
- We are all getting plenty of indoor flying with the new Saturday regime
- We can always invite guests to any of the Saturday sessions and they can pay £5 per time.
- Some members also feel that we seem to be getting 20+ people to the Saturdays and that this is a good number for the size of the hall and gives plenty of time for flying and chatting. Significantly more would become a crowd!
- Finally, it is quite an effort to set up the facility and manage the event and this tends to fall on the same old shoulders!!
