3/1 – Results of Peanut competition held on 17th Dec

By | January 3, 2023

A good turnout of flyers for the free flight competition organised by Michael Marshall on Saturday 17th December in the Sports Hall. It was the penultimate day of the big freeze, but the frantic winding (and thick coats) kept everyone warm.

For the last Sports Hall meeting of the year before Christmas it seemed appropriate to hold a competition. It was a simple affair for fuselage models with wing span no greater than 13 inches. Essentially Peanut size.

A familiar format was followed with each competitor able to make five flights where the best three would form the score. Ten people took part with a variety of models. A chocolate orange was presented to the winner.
